Fowler High School's enviromental biology class spent the day May 19 enjoying the awesome Lake Michigan Salmon fishery !  After studying the ecosystem of the great lakes, including invasives, species compostion, fish identification, and even fishing techniques, 19 of them joined us on Chinook Pier for a little field trip !  They knew their stuff, and had a great day on the water.  With a four boat total of almost 60 fish, including chinook, steelhead, lake trout and even a brown, they had a great chance to test their knowledge.

 Thanks to a great teacher, Eric Buhr, some of these kids experienced their very first fishing adventure, and for many their first time on the big lake.  This is the future of our sport, and our charter industry, and we really appreciate the opportunity each year to host these great kids !
